In short: We collect the minimum data needed for the app to work. Your habits belong to you. We never sell anything to anyone.
1. Data Controller
Cohabit Tracker is published by an independent developer based in Lyon, France.
2. Data We Collect
Account data:
- Email address (for authentication)
- Nickname and avatar (chosen by you)
Usage data:
- Habits created and daily tracking
- Progress statistics (scores, streaks, XP)
- Messages in group chats
Technical data:
- Firebase login timestamps
3. Purpose
- Running the application
- Displaying your stats and progress
- Enabling social features (groups, chat, leaderboard)
4. Storage
Local: habits and stats stored in your browser's localStorage.
Cloud: account, group, and message data stored on Firebase (Google Cloud Platform), EU servers.
5. Data Sharing
Your data is never sold or shared with third parties. Only visible to group members:
- Nickname and avatar
- Daily score on the leaderboard
- Messages in group chats
6. Retention
Data is kept while your account is active. Deleting your account erases all personal data.
7. Your Rights (GDPR)
- Access — view your data in the app
- Rectification — edit your nickname and bio
- Erasure — delete account via Profile → Settings
- Portability — export your data as CSV
- Objection — stop using the app at any time
8. Cookies
No third-party cookies. Only localStorage is used for preferences and local data.
9. Security
Authentication via Firebase Auth (Google). All communications encrypted via HTTPS. Firestore security rules control data access.
10. Account Deletion
Delete your account and all data directly in the app: Profile → Settings → Delete my account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
